2019 The Wheelwright, Henschke, Eden Valley Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

‘The Wheelwright’ pays homage to founder Johann Christian Henschke, who was among the first generation of settlers in the Barossa Valley to establish a winery in 1868. Arriving from German Silesia as a skilled stonemason and wheelwright, he planted his first vineyards in the picturesque Eden Valley. Made from a tiny 1.6ha vineyard, this has a beautiful silky texture, black plum flavours with a hint of olive brine.

Young: 2025 - 2045
2019 Mount Edelstone, Henschke, Eden Valley Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

Mt Edelstone tends to be our favourite of the new Henschke releases each year. From vines planted in 1912, it always impresses and is more approachable than its stablemate Hill of Grace. Rich cherry and plum, with sage, fresh cracked pepper, and more lifted earl grey, floral aromas. Elegant and charming, even in this seriously warm vintage. This feels like it will be impressive young, but has a powerful core and grainy tannins that will set it up well for a decade or more in the cellar.

Young: 2025 - 2050
2019 Cyril Henschke Cabernet Sauvignon, Henschke, Eden Valley Dry | Red | Still | 14%

First produced as a single vineyard in 1978, ‘Cyril’ pays tribute to fourth generation winemaker Cyril Henschke (1924-1979), one of Australia’s most revered winemakers, well known for his old vine and single vineyard wines. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 is incredibly concentrated, with bold cassis, mint and cedar aromas.

Young: 2025 - 2045
2019 Keyneton Estate Euphonium, Henschke, Barossa Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

52% Shiraz, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc and 11% Merlot sourced from vineyards across the Eden and Barossa Valleys. The vines are anything from 50 years of age plus, and the result is a rich, concentrated wine that really punches above its weight. Ripe, silky, fine-grained, with explosive violet and cracked black pepper on the nose.

Young: 2025 - 2043
2008 Hill of Grace, Henschke, Eden Valley (2024 museum release) Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

Long, layered and spicy, with a core of savoury-tinged cassis and black plum. Peppery and full of five spice as the palate goes on, finishing silky and long.

2013 Mount Edelstone, Henschke, Eden Valley (2024 museum release) Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

Powerful initially, with a more relaxed feel on the palate from time in bottle. The tannins are mellow and melting, and the wine has retained a core of dense black berry fruits that are still fresh and lively. A delight to drink now.

Ready: 2024 - 2038
2017 Rosé Brut, Rathfinny, Sussex Dry | Rosé | Sparkling

The third vintage of Rathfinny’s sparkling rosé has a pretty coral hue and an energetic nose of cranberry and red apple. The palate is full of life with concentrated notes of pink grapefruit and brioche. Juicy acidity gives this wine great length and vibrancy. Perfect for a summer's day!

Ready: 2023 - 2035
